9 strategies to promote your videos and YouTube channel on social networks

Now we know they did very well on their Instagram launch, but what about their YouTube channel? Well, the first video wasn't uploaded until a year after the brand's launch, but they've seen great success since then.


In terms of content creation, what are they doing right? The brand has become especially known and loved for its “ Get Ready With Me (known as #GRWM) ” series which are later promoted on all of its other social networks. They also have the series grouped together in a playlist on their YouTube account.

Give your followers hints on other social networks, indicating that something new is coming (your YouTube channel!).

Once you have content, create (a few) special series that they can look forward to and crave.

2. Get involved, get involved, get involved with your followers

Vans Custom Culture  is a master at organizing successful contests on your social media. With over 80,000 likes on their Facebook page , they are proving that their passion for helping students harness their creativity is, on the other hand, doing great things for their company.

What day (s) of the week are your followers most active?

At what time of the day do your followers participate the most?

What types of content bring the most movement?

7. Be consistent

While starting a YouTube channel is great, before opening an account you must commit to being consistent. Although you don't have to be completely rigid all the time (if it's a busy holiday season, or if you're offering something new and exciting and want to post regularly), your followers and potential followers will come looking for new videos at times and days that establish.


A great way to be responsible and consistent on your YouTube channel (and then cross-promote) is to create the appropriate hashtags related to the day of the week and the topic of the video. Maybe it's "# tacotuesday " if you're making food videos, or "# fashionfriday " if you're covering fashion and lifestyle trends.

8. Trust collaboration

To do that, go to YouTube settings and select Connected Accounts. Click on the accounts you want to link, enter your access data and authorize YouTube to automatically publish your videos.
